Hull born and bred. Having worked and lived all over the UK, I always come back to Hull, my true home. Married to Nuala (pronounced Nooler) with our 2 sons James (now in the Royal Navy) and Jack 14 at Kingswood Acadamy. Started work in1984 in the motor trade, progressing into sales, and now property manager at Cherry Tree Court on Ferensway (the old tax office) looking after my 200+ clients at FigFlex Offices. Love Hull City AFC as a season ticket holder, and the odd game of golf. Our pug Alby keeps us busy at home.

Sue, along with her exceptional staff team, provides a first-class service to adults with complex mental health needs through Innovations in Care. Tirelessly committed, they support young adults who might otherwise remain in hospital, helping them to live safe, fulfilling lives in the community. Working closely with specialist services, Sue is widely recognised across Hull as the go-to provider for complex care.
Under her leadership, Innovations in Care became the first supported living service in Hull to be rated Outstanding by the CQC—an achievement that reflects her unwavering dedication to quality, dignity, and inclusion. The Director of Hull CC Adult Services described Sue as “a credit to the city of Hull,” recognising her visionary work in transforming lives and setting a new standard for community-based mental health support.
